1.2 Commission form.

You must include these informations on your request via message:

  • A clear reference of your character: your reference material must include at least one side view and one front view of your character; valid reference material is any image representing the character at a decent visual quality. This includes not only dedicated reference sheets but also illustrations you may have. You can complement your reference material with a brief description of details which may specify small differences from the reference or clarify discrepancies between different references. A description cannot act as a replacement for proper reference material. Edits to elements of the picture which are not clearly visible in the reference material or accurately detailed in the accompanying description will be performed at an additional cost.

  • Pose & clothing: you must have a clear idea of both pose and clothing from the beginning. Edits to pose and clothing further on will be performed at an additional cost. You need to provide clear visual references of the pose and clothing you have in mind; this can be either photographic references or other artwork regardless of the character depicted.

> Artistic freedom commission format

Due to the nature of this format, only a clear reference of the character, a theme (like a song) and a reference for cloting - if present- are required.

> Character sheet commission format

Description text: you must provide the text paragraphs and labels which will appear on the sheet.

> Creature design commission format

Due to the nature of this format, there is no additional fee for edits to elements outside of referenced material. Some reference material will still be required.

  • Render style: you can choose between sketch, lineart, flat color, soft-shaded coloring and painterly.

  • Background: you can choose between solid, gradient, sketch, painted.

  • Date of publishing: you can request for the artwork to be posted on my gallery after a specified date. Depending on the requested date, an additional fee might be required.

  • Privacy: you can pay an additional fee to keep the artwork private. The artwork will not be posted on my galleries.

1.3 The final product

  • Digital illustration: max quality version of the illustration (png format). Different versions can be required (color filters, particular views): must be agreed with me. Extended timelapse of the commission included when possible.

  • Traditional illustration: 600dpi scan of the illustration. I don't sell the original drawing.

2. Communication and agreements

I like to keep in touch with my customers, both to keep them up to date with my work status on their commissions and to let them know about my latest sales and events in progress; because of this I kindly ask all of my customers, especially if they didn't provide me with any references in their commission request, to remain active and available to me on at least one of the online platforms I operate on.

  • I reserve the right to decline any and all commissions which I deem to decline, based on my own judgement and reasons which I am in no way required to disclose if I decide not to.

  • I reserve the right to entertain no business with individuals I do not want to be dealing with, based on my personal judgement and reasons which I am in no way required to disclose if I decide not to.

3. Payment.

I only accept money as payment, via Paypal, PostePay or wire transfer.

3.1 Payment plans

You can either:

  • Pay the full price right away upon placing the order.

  • Pay the full price after seeing the confirmation sketch.

  • Pay a deposit fee of 50% or more of the full price upon placing the order.

Upfront payment is required for all orders under 30€.

Regardless of which mode you chose, work on the commission will be put on hold after the confirmation sketch stage until the full payment is received.

I do not accept arrangements which involve payment after completion/delivery of the product due to occurrences of clients not paying me after the work had already been performed.

When you order a commission from me, please make sure to have the required funds available to you, in order for you to be able to pay as soon as it is due. A situation where I finish my job and the client delays payment due to not having the required funds available is not at all acceptable and lands said client directly in the blacklist, along with me reporting such incidents to all market platforms.

Delayed and special payment arrangements are to be stated well beforehand when requesting the commission and are subject to my unilateral and optional approval.

4. Modifications.

There are three main phases in the creation of your artwork:

> Sketch phase: shapes, pose and character anatomy.

> Lineart phase: final lines, cleanup and minor tweaks to shapes.

> Coloring phase: colors and rendering, effects.

Any feature or detail which you consider to be an important requirement for the work need to be specified upon placement of the order during the initial description. Altering such features at any subsequent time will result in additional costs.

Modifications are preferred during the sketch phase. Any modifications of reasonable entity directed to tweaking or correcting the appearance of a feature will thus be free during the sketch phase. Modifications which result from a change of mind on the commissioner's part will still be subject to modification fee rules.

After the completion of every phase you will receive a preview image which you will need to approve or request changes upon. After every change is performed you will receive a further preview for approval.
Any change involving alteration of elements from previous phases will incur into additional fees.

Example: if you ask for a pose change during the coloring phase you will be asked to pay an additional fee.

After delivery of the final product, any further modifications will not be considered part of the original contract and will thus be subject to further fees which may be set to my discretion.

5. Waiting time & submission time

The time a commission requires to be completed depends on:

  • Commission format

  • Type of drawing (sketch, lineart, coloring)

  • My schedule

  • Current queue status

I do not guarantee any non-Express delivery date.

Express Service

If the buyer wishes to receive the final artwork on a specific date, an additional charge will be applied depending on the amount of time between the requested delivery date, the order placement date and the kind of commission requested.

Restrictions to Express service
The Express Service is reserved for special occasions only, such as birthday gifts, holiday artworks etc.. which have to be stated during the initial Commission request. The approval or refusal of the Express service request is completely upon the artist, who is in no way, shape or form forced to share motif of such choice.

The Express Service is not meant to be used as a tool to skip the commission queue; any usage of the Express Service which suggests such intent is thus prohibited. Violations of this rule may incurr in refusal of service.

Delivery dates stipulated through the optional Express Service are guaranteed. I suggest my buyers to request their commissions with large advance.
Due to their nature and time required, the express fee isn't applicable to specific commission formats, such as the Creature design. This is agreed upon a case-by-case scenario.

Sharing the Product

When you buy a commission from me, you normally only receive non-exclusive usage rights. This means you are not the only person allowed to use the product. I, too, am allowed to use the product in any way, shape or form I deem fit and in particular for the purpose of self-promotion. If so desired, the buyer can acquire exclusive usage rights at an additional fee.

If the buyer wants to keep their commission private, thus preventing the artist from sharing the final product on their media channels, a surcharge of 80% of the original price will be applied.

The artist pledges not to share, post or otherwise upload the final product in any way, shape or form which would be considerable a public release or disclosure to third parties.

By paying this fee, the buyer acquires the exclusive usage rights to the product. Other rights must be purchased separately.

6. The contract.

You are free to talk with me, ask for any information you need and quotes; any of these actions won't constitute a contract.

I will send you a message to confirm your purchase; all details will be also included in the Paypal invoice.

  • Canceling the contract: you can cancel your contract freely until you approve the sketch. After that, you will be asked to pay in order for me to move forward with your commission. Canceling the contract after payment will not entitle you to a refund. This doesn't mean refunds never happen; rather, this means they are unlikely and are only issued because of very specific circumstances and are subject to my complete discretion.
In any event of contract canceling or breach, all rights to the preview material remain mine regardless of payment status.

  • Platforms: you can find me on many platforms. Some of them, such as Telegram, allow users to alter past communications by, for example, deleting messages sent from one or both parties, and/or editing message content. This makes such platforms legally insecure. Thus, in order to protect my contractual evidence and remove any possibility of denial, I reserve the right to take screenshots and/or keep logs in any way, shape, form or quantity I deem fit. I won't accept commissions placed thorugh auto-destructive chats.
By electing to use these platforms the user automatically agrees to these Terms and waives any right to privacy which may conflict with them.
In the event that the buyer performs alteration to the contractual evidence and terms in any way, shape or form which suggest malicious intent (such as denial of contract, alteration of agreed price, denial of agreement, alteration of terms) such actions will be regarded as a scam initiative, the contract will be considered breached, no refund of any payment will be issued and the buyer will be banned buying from and contacting me ever again.

7. Rights of the buyer and the artist.

  • If you buy a new character from me (such as an adoptable or a from-scratch creature design) you will get usage rights to the character. This allows you to use the character as one of yours and make/commission art featuring them. You are also allowed to sell the said property of the character as long as the price required for them is the same of lower than the price initially paid to me; the picture must be always properly credited (creation and design idea).

  • If you buy work from me which involves the creation of a new graphical form for a character which you created and detailed, intellectual property and all rights pertaining to the character itself will be yours, however you will receive usage rights only in regard to the graphical form of the character itself and while you are permitted to sell the character alongside its graphical form, being that it constitutes an integral part of the character entity itself, intellectual property and rights associated with creation of the graphical form remain mine.

  • If you buy an illustration featuring pre-existing characters (such as your sona or characters), you will get the usage rights to the illustration. This means you can post the picture to your social media and wherever you like.
You will not get alteration nor commercial rights to the picture: this means you can't alter the picture nor use it for personal initiatives resulting in economical gain or involving commercial purpose.
In the event you sell the character associated with the picture, you can transfer ownership of the usage rights to the buyer of the character, though you may not receive additional payment for the picture itself or use the picture as leverage to raise the transaction price. This means your sale must involve only the character and the picture cannot earn you money in any way, shape or form.
It'd be appreciated if you will notify me of such a sale happening and of the identity of the new owner, in order to avoid misunderstandings.
You can buy alteration and/or commercial rights to the picture from me at a separate fee.

You will always be able to share my completed pictures wherever you want by giving proper credit.

  • Self-attribution of intellectual property of the products, alterations to the product made by the buyer without alteration rights or written consent, alteration to the product resulting from the buyer commissioning other artists to modify the product without alteration rights or written consent or any other behaviour which is against the ToS in letter or spirit will be considered a breach of contract.
In the event of a breach of contract or canceling, all rights to the products will automatically return to me and the buyer will lose any property whatsoever over the material, regardless of any payment status.
The buyer will then incur in permanent ban from buying commissions and contacting me, will be reported to all market platforms and no refund of any kind or amount will be issued.

By choosing to commission me, you agree to these terms and conditions and waive any right which might be in conflict with them.
